Friends of Castle Park Volunteer Update – July Activities
Have you spotted the new interpretation sign about birds in the park? Take a look next time you’re visiting Castle Park - it’s located by the footbridge nearest the castle.
The sign is both beautiful and informative, helping visitors engage more closely with the wildlife and nature in the park.
A big thank you to everyone who has helped out in June.

Please bring clean wellies or waders if you have them. We have spare waders available if needed. If you would like to borrow a pair, please email your shoe size in advance.
Bring a water bottle, sun cream, and a sun hat, and remember to take regular breaks.
For the balsam bashing sessions, you’ll mostly be working in the shade, with some volunteers in the water (though no swimming, please!). Even so, all of the above precautions are strongly recommended.
